Compact 3-Wheel Electric Counterbalance Forklift

The MiMA MKC16/20 combines counterbalance-forklift versatility with a compact three-wheel chassis. Without load-side support legs, it can approach closed pallets, lorries and containers directly. The 1,595 mm turning radius supports manoeuvring in congested loading areas and restricted warehouse aisles.

Front Dual-Drive AC Performance

Two 4.8 kW front drive motors deliver responsive acceleration and controlled traction. Under standard test conditions, travel speed reaches up to 15 km/h and gradeability reaches 15%. The full AC drive and lift system eliminates routine carbon-brush replacement.

Mast Options up to 7,500 mm

Duplex, duplex full-free and triplex full-free masts cover lift heights from 2,000 to 7,500 mm. Lift limiting, controlled lowering and optional electronic cushioning support accurate pallet placement and help reduce impact on loads and floors.

Actual capacity depends on lift height, load centre, mast and attachment configuration.

Low Centre of Gravity

The battery is positioned low within the chassis to support stable cornering and predictable handling. Electric steering reduces steering effort, while hydraulic service braking and a mechanical parking brake provide controlled stopping during regular warehouse cycles.

Operator-focused Workstation

An adjustable steering column and seat help operators select a practical driving position. The LED display provides battery status, operating time and fault information, while the operator-presence monitoring system helps prevent unintended operation when the driver is not correctly seated.

Battery and Hydraulic Configurations

Lead-acid and lithium battery options allow the truck to be matched to shift duration and charging arrangements. Side-extraction battery configurations are available for fleet operations. Optional sideshift, fork positioning and other attachments can support different pallets and handling processes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about MKC16 / MKC20. For application-specific advice, contact MiMA Australia.

Q1: What is the difference between the MKC16 and MKC20?
The MKC16 is rated for 1,600 kg, while the MKC20 is rated for 2,000 kg. Both have a 1,595 mm turning radius and the same maximum lift height. Select the model according to the heaviest regular load, required lift height and residual-capacity calculation.
Q2: How much aisle width does the MKC16/20 require?
With a 1,000 × 1,200 mm pallet handled across the forks, the specified aisle width is 3,286 mm for the MKC16 and 3,291 mm for the MKC20. Actual planning must also consider load dimensions, attachment length, rack clearance and operational safety margins.
Q3: Can the MKC16/20 lift its full rated capacity to 7,500 mm?
No. Capacity decreases as lift height and load centre increase. At 7,500 mm with a 500 mm load centre, the reference load chart indicates approximately 900 kg for the MKC16 and 1,120 kg for the MKC20. The confirmed data plate for the selected configuration must always be followed.
Q4: Can the MKC16/20 work inside shipping containers?
The compact chassis and 2,105 mm overhead-guard height make suitable configurations practical for container loading and unloading. The container-door height, mast lowered height, ramp gradient, floor loading and required attachment must be checked before selection.
Q5: Should I choose a lead-acid or lithium battery?
Lead-acid batteries suit operations with established battery maintenance and charging routines. Lithium batteries support opportunity charging and require less routine maintenance. Selection should be based on shift length, charging windows, ambient temperature and required battery weight.
Q6: Can the MKC16/20 use a sideshift or fork positioner?
Yes. Sideshift, fork-positioning and other hydraulic attachments are available. Attachments change the load centre, overall dimensions and residual capacity, so the final truck must be rated using the complete mast, fork and attachment configuration.
Q7: Is the MKC16/20 suitable for cold stores or outdoor work?
Cold-store and low-temperature configurations are available. For outdoor or moisture-prone applications, floor condition, gradients, electrical protection, tyre selection, condensation and battery temperature must be assessed with the dealer before specification.
