Product Details

Configurable Operator Platform

The MCC16U offers a spacious operator compartment with adjustable controls and a foldable seat. Semi-enclosed and open platform configurations can be selected according to picking requirements and operator preference.

Electric or Electro-Hydraulic Fork Head

The compact electric turret head provides low-noise, energy-efficient pallet handling. An electro-hydraulic version with a scissor-type mechanism is available for mixed pallet sizes and more complex aisle conditions.

Productive High-Level Handling

The elevating compartment provides a direct view of the pallet and rack location. Synchronized travel and lifting, linked fork rotation and side shift, fork centring and height preselection reduce repeated actions.

Stable and Serviceable

A high-strength mast, full AC power and electromagnetic braking support controlled operation at height. Side-pull battery access and removable service panels simplify routine inspection and battery replacement.

Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about MCC16U. For application-specific advice, contact MiMA Australia.

Q1: Are MCC16 and MCC16U intended for different regions?
They provide similar capacity, performance and VNA applications. Selection should be based on the operator platform, fork-head configuration, wheelbase, mast requirement and warehouse layout rather than regional naming.
Q2: What is the difference between the electric and electro-hydraulic fork heads?
The electric fork head offers compact, quiet and energy-efficient operation. The electro-hydraulic version provides greater configuration flexibility and can incorporate a scissor-type mechanism for mixed pallet or aisle requirements.
Q3: Does the MCC16U retain 1,600 kg at maximum height?
No. At a 600 mm load centre, the long-wheelbase versions retain approximately 800 kg at a 14,500 mm total lift height. Residual capacity varies with the fork head, load centre and mast configuration.
Q4: What is the difference between standard- and long-wheelbase models?
Standard-wheelbase models reach total lift heights up to 11,500 mm and use a smaller battery. Long-wheelbase models support total lift heights up to 14,500 mm with increased high-level stability and battery capacity.
Q5: What aisle width is required?
The standard datasheet specifies a 1,650 mm net aisle with a 1,200 × 1,200 mm pallet. The electro-hydraulic fork configuration, larger loads or long-wheelbase chassis may change the final requirement.
Q6: Which aisle guidance systems are available?
Mechanical rail guidance is standard. Electromagnetic and permanent-magnetic guidance are optional, together with aisle safety functions, laser obstacle detection and automatic addressing.
Q7: Can the operator platform be configured?
Yes. Depending on the required configuration, the MCC16U can use semi-enclosed or open platform arrangements, adjustable armrest-mounted controls and a height-adjustable foldable seat.
Q8: What information should be confirmed before ordering?
Confirm the pallet dimensions, load weight and centre, rack height, aisle and main-aisle dimensions, preferred fork head, platform arrangement, wheelbase, guidance method, battery requirement and expected picking frequency.
